Successful USLI Scale Rocket Flight!

We had our scale rocket flight today, south of “South Middle School”.  The scale flight was a Calibur-ISP from Loc Precision.  It achieved an altitude of 1031 ft. The drogue was successfully deployed.  The main parachute deployed successfully at 700 ft.  The only incident we had during flight was the length of time it took for the main parachute to pull out of the nomex deployment bag.  The parachute took until approximately 100 ft off the  ground to be pulled out of the deployment bag and unfold.  The rocket’s main parachute landed in a very small tree (baby tree), and the rest of the rocket below it.  The main parachute and rocket were unharmed.  This flight was a successful test of the dual deployment system, PerfectFlite altimeter, launch rail, and flight procedure.
